LAKE FAYETTE TOURNAMENT - JAN 06
Fayette was a bit windy on us this month with winds shifting in about all 4 directions. The weatherman said to expect the wind to be 10-15mph and I think it did reach 15, as it was climbing to 30mph. But most of us seemed to bring in fish. We had 12 teams fishing and there were 70 fish caught, but only 7 limits brought in (paper of course). They were caught on everything from C-rigs to top water, from 1 ft down to 18 ft. Just remember that flexibility and the ability to adapt is a fisherman's best weapon sometimes. Next month we will journey down to Del Rio and wet our hooks in Lake Amistad for our 2 day event. I hope the weather stays dry and the gust stay below 50mph. We will be supporting the Bell County Boat show this month too so make sure you come out and help us raise money during our annual raffle. We will also be hosting the Casting Kids event as well as assisting and controlling the Tuffman Weigh in.

LAKE AMISTAD TOURNAMENT - FEB 06
Well boys and girls, they say history has a way of repeating it self and it did. Kenny Barfield took Big Bass honors again at lake Amistad this year with a whopping 9.9. There was also several "Toads" caught this year starting with Joe Howards 6.13 and Eric Turners 6.8, Jeff Giarrizzos 6.7. We all weathered the cold and wind and came out with allot of nice catches. We had a total of 145 fish at 354.3 lbs for our 2 day event. I have to say the steaks prepared by chief Kenny were the best I have had, Thanks for the hard work Kenny. Everybody don't forget next months event at Cedar Creek.

LAKE CEDAR CREEK TOURNAMENT - MAR 06
I thought that when I told my wife I would miss some of the club tournaments to fish a couple’s trail with her that I’d be sorry. Things seemed to be in my favor though this month because the fishing at Cedar Creek was tough. Rain and hail fell on the boys as they tried and tried to bring in the big one. 12 Teams hit the water and 4 of them blanked. The others, except for 2 teams, didn’t do what they wanted to but did hook a couple bass. I know it was rough guys but remember, its through adversity that we get better. Our next tournament will be on our home lake, Stillhouse Hollow.
